OOOOPS!!!

So...we were headed back from our Thanksgiving time and we stopped to take some pics on the way home. At one stop I got on top of our car so I could get a better view and a higher shot of the scenery with my camera. I caught the beauty, climbed back down and we took off. We had probably been driving 10 minutes when we hit a bump and I saw something fall off the top of our car....All the sudden I realized I had left my camera on top of the car in the luggage rack...and well I turned back in time just to see my camera bouncing down the road! Yeah...it was crazy...and if you guys know how much I love pics then this story would be even more heart wrenching! Ahhh. So we turn around to get the camera...I just kept thinking as long as I could get my memory card that would be fine, because that is where all the pics are. So we get to the camera, the bottom is busted off where the batteries go...both batteries are now gone, and it is a little scuffed up, and guess what...the memory card is missing! Go figure! So JJ and I walked around, searching out this little blue guy with my pics on it. Finally I found it! I picked it up and raised it in the air with one arm..like Wahoo VICTORY! Then I realized the man walking down the street probably thought I had gone mad! hahaha But hey I found the card. And well the camera it looks a little rough...but I did get it to work...I just had to hold the batteries in while I downloaded the pics! haha. So there is my story...and here is my sad face! :( Posted by Picasa

Beach Thanksgiving!!!

So here we are at the beach for Thanksgiving! Man it was so awesome. The snorkeling was unbelievable. I got to swim over schools of fish and it was just gorgeous! It was so fun to just be with other people, listen to the waves come in and be reminded of the One who made it all! The top left is in the desert, it was on our trip from our house to the beach, and of course some deviled eggs (this was my first time to ever make these). So we had a blast just chillin on the beach...and yeah we were way thankful! Posted by Picasa

Julius Ceasar!

And what about Orange Julius's! Well this was my first time to have one and it was good. I think I am going to be their new poster child....Got Orange Julius? Because I do...all up on my nose and mouth!! Thanks for making them JJ...mmmm, scrumtrulescent!! Posted by Picasa

Bumpkin, Rumpkin, Thumpkin.....NO..PUMPKIN!

So JJ, J and I bought a pumpkin at the market so we could make some pumpkin bread. It was a really long process, but really fun! Well we made it fun anyways...we have a lot of pumpkin now so if you need any just ask. It was definitely a first for me...chopping up a pumpkin, baking it, and then having to scrape it all out. I just remember cutting faces in pumpkins as a kid and then putting a candle inside of it! And then there were the days when we went pumpkin smashing in a rival town...(do you remember that...you know who you are, my fellow accomplices). Ok well those are my adventures with pumpkins...isn't that a really weird word...PUMPKIN! My dad calls me this sometimes...but it sounds more like Punkin. Ok well try to use this word in a sentence today it will be fun!! Posted by Picasa

Did you really go out like that???

So you know you are in Africa when you jump out of the shower, throw on your clothes for the day, and wrap your hair in a towel...so you can drive across town to the airport because your flight is suppose to leave today....but do to some things living inside of my stomach I needed to delay a day....so J and I walked up to the ticket counter and they moved our flight to the next day. (I think she was just being nice because she was really digging my towel turban!) Anyways, after that I proceeded to the clinic to set up an appointment...needless to say I saw more people and well...I looked like this! It was kind of fun! I got ready later and returned to the clinic and well the lady that saw me before thought I was a new person! haha....well I looked different anyways. So yeah...I love Africa! (Thanks J for being seen in public with me like this!) Posted by Picasa
